HISTORY
Scott Energy was started in the spring of 1946 under the name Scott Oil Co. Ed Scott Sr. had one used oil truck and did service for his customers out of the trunk of his car. His first year in business he delivered 50,000 gallons, half of which was kerosene in 55 gallon drums. He built the business slowly over the years by providing unmatched service and constant attention to detail.
Bill Scott and his brother Ed Scott Jr. took over the management of Scott Oil after Ed Scott Sr. retired. Together, they grew the company through acquisitions and preserved their existing customer base by providing the high quality of service that people had come to expect over the years.
Looking to the Future
Scott Energy continues to keep up with the latest industry regulations, new equipment technology and upgraded office systems. Our state-of-the-art computer and customer service technology is used to manage accounts on a day-to-day basis for increased efficiency.
Adam and Taylor Scott, Bill’s sons, have both been working in the family business for several years now and are the future of Scott Energy. They have learned the business from the ground up by actively working in the field and have now also assumed managerial responsibilities.
They want to build on their grandfather’s, father’s and uncle’s seventy plus years of success by offering their customers the latest technological advancements while maintaining the same level of personalized customer service that the company has offered since 1946.
